Concept Definition
Theory by Dehaene & Cohen (1992) which posits that numerical processing is accomplished through three distinct pathways: a visual code in which numbers are represented as identified strings of digits; an analogical quantity or magnitude code, in which numbers are represented as distributions of activation on an oriented number line; and a verbal code in which numbers are represented as a parsed sequence of words.
